So, who are you and what is Le Calamar?

Le Calamar is a modern French bistro with Texan sensibilities from hospitality partners Richard Hargreave, Claudia Lee, and Chef Casey Wall. All of our ingredients come from small Texas farms, and 100% of our seafood comes from the Gulf of Mexico, primarily being bycatch. We feature a distinctive beverage program highlighting wines & spirits from France, Mexico, and Texas, alongside signature cocktails focused on martinis, manhattans, and mezcal. We are proudly located in Austin’s Bouldin Creek neighborhood.

We have no phone. We do not have the staffing capability to operate a phone system. If you need to amend your booking, please do so via OpenTable messaging or email us info@le-calamar.com.

Our Dining Rooms are available to patrons with reservations. We do our best to accommodate walk-ins where we can.

All reservations can only be made online via OpenTable.

Reservations are released with a 42 day booking window.

The largest party size is 6 guests. Guests 6+ must participate in our prixfixe menu.

For parties larger than 6, please reach out to our special events team. They can be reached by emailing info@le-calamar.com or fill out a large party booking inquiry.

Separate reservations may not be combined to create larger parties. 

When booking reservations, please include children & infants in the party size and if you need a high chair. We only have 2 high chairs. 

A 15 min grace period is alotted to your reservation time for your party to be complete.  

ALL guests must be present to be seated. 

ALL cancellations and reductions in party size made less than 24 hours in advance are subject to a $30 per person charge.  All reservation changes and cancellations can be managed on OpenTable.com or by contacting info@le-calamar.com.

Party reductions of 50% or more will result in a reservation forfeiture.

Dietary restrictions are strongly encouraged to be communicated prior to your reservation. We cannot guarantee last minute unknown dietaries.

Reserved dining times for each party size are as follows:

- Parties of TWO, 1 hour and 45 minutes.

- Parties of THREE & FOUR, 2 hours.

- Parties of FIVE & SIX, 2 hours and 30 minutes.

We do not accept corkage due to the nature of our liquor license.

Cake cutting fee is $5/guest.

Please do not bring decorations, decor or other items into the restaurant.

We offer complimentary 2 hour parking validation for the garage below. There is also free street parking off Monroe.

Pets are not allowed in Le Calamar unless they are both federal law (the Americans with Disabilities Act - ADA) and Texas state law (Texas Human Resources Code Chapter 121) compliant.
