So, who are you and what is Le Calamar?

Le Calamar is a Texan Bistro, located at 1600 S 1st St in Austin, TX. We are proud to use local produce, meat and buy-catch fish from the Gulf.
Our bar serves beer, wine and spirits from France, Texas and Mexico.
The idea was dreamt up by our owners Casey Wall, Richard Hargreaves and Claudia Lee who wanted to focus on French techniques in the kitchen and highlight the best of local flavors with a French twist.

Is there parking?

There is a parking garage in the building where Le Calamar is located, around the corner on Monroe St. Ask your server, bartender or host for a 2 hour validation ticket.
If that’s not your vibe, there’s plenty of free street parking in the area, and a paid parking lot across the street.

Do you have a Happy Hour?

Not only do we have early happy hour, we also honor reverse happy hour.
Happy Hour runs from 4-5:30pm daily, with $10 martini specials and a limited menu.
Reverse Happy Hour starts at 10pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights and finishes when we close.

Can I bring my dog?

Absolutely! We have a patio area out front with ample seating where we welcome furry friends.

How about dietaries?

Due to the nature of our menu and our very small team, we are not able to cater to all dietary needs.
Much of our menu is Gluten Free-friendly, but non-dairy is more limiting.

Of course, we encourage bookings. Our bar is always open for walk-ins!
